Why the term 'Virus of Education'
I know you must be wondering, Virus is something that everyone wants to be away from, be it a virul disease or a software virus. However, the point I am trying to make here is, be it a virul disease or a software virus, it spreads like fire and knowingly/unknowingly facilitated by the infected. So lets start educating and let the educated facilitate the education system.
Mission Statement
Some Statistics of India to start with
Population:
1,147,995,904 (July 2008 est.)
Age structure:
0-14 years: 31.5% (male 189,238,487/female 172,168,306)
15-64 years: 63.3% (male 374,157,581/female 352,868,003)
65 years and over: 5.2% (male 28,285,796/female 31,277,725) (2008 est.)
Literacy:
definition: age 15 and over can read and write
total population: 61%
male: 73.4%
female: 47.8% (2001 census)
Aim:
1.To change the definition of Literacy to the following:
Be able to communicate effectively ( read + write + speak) in Hindi OR English and more importantly understand the basic moral values of humanity.
2.To ensure that the future generation i.e. age group 0 - 21 (at least 0 - 14) are literate as per the above definition.
This will ensure that in the years to come, India has a strong base of people running the show. And if this future generation can understand the difference between the right and wrong, have the guts inculcated in them to fight for the right, no matter what, I think it will solve all the problems automatically...
